Introducing “Love and Loss”: Compassionate At-Home Pet Euthanasia Services Starting December 1, 2025

Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is one of the most difficult experiences a pet owner can face. At York Animal Hospital, we understand that every family’s needs are unique and that the comfort of home can make a world of difference during this emotional time. That is why we are proud to introduce “Love and Loss”, our at home pet euthanasia service, available to both current clients and non-clients within a 30 minute drive and at our discretion.

A Peaceful Goodbye in the Comfort of Home

The “Love and Loss” service is designed to provide pets and their families with a calm, private, and familiar environment during their final moments. Our compassionate team member(s) will come to your home to ensure that your pet’s passing is as peaceful and gentle as possible.

What to Expect

When you schedule a “Love and Loss” visit, a member of our team will:

• Take the time to discuss your wishes and answer any questions you may have.
• Provide compassionate, professional care focused on your pet’s comfort.
• Offer options for aftercare; including cremation and memorial keepsakes, if desired.

We understand that this decision is never easy. Our goal is to support you with empathy, respect, and understanding every step of the way.

For Clients and Non-Clients

“Love and Loss” is available to all pet owners within a 30 minute drive and at our discretion. Non-Clients will be required to make an appointment via zoom with a doctor prior to the home visit.
