Support Staff

Jackie Brown, Practice Manager Practice Manager Jackie Brown has been with York Animal Hospital since it first opened. Beyond her many years of experience, she also attended the Veterinary Management Institute at Purdue University

Asked what she enjoys most about her work, Jackie says, "The staff is great and we are always keeping up to date with new technology and we all believe that the animals come first."

At home, she has two Labs named Sarah and Sally, a Boston Terrier named T-Bone, and two cats named Kitten and Midnight. When not working, Jackie says, "I enjoy gardening and spending time with my husband Brian and our two sons Josh and Zack, whom keep me busy with their many sporting events. I also enjoy spending time with my four-legged kids! I am currently training my two Labradors in retrieving."

Jamie McGrath, TBD Receptionist and Veterinary Technician Jamie McGrath has been with York Animal Hospital since August of 2004.

She says that much of the training she has received has been hands-on from our doctors and technicians here at the hospital. Jamie adds, "I like this hospital because the doctors are very educated and caring. All of the staff members get along like a big family, which flows over to our care for our clients and their pets. We try to treat everyone like part of our family. It's also a fun and exciting place to work."

Jamie is a pet owner herself and has a Shepherd/Lab mix named Katie, a Lab/Bassett mix named Bruce, and four domestic shorthair cats named Dusty, Monkey, Ozwald and Winifred. When she is not caring for her pets or working, she enjoys cooking, running, gardening, and exercising.

Sharon Young, Receptionist Receptionist Sharon Young has been with York Animal Hospital since March of 2001. In all, she has more than 32 years working in the pet care field ("Am I that old?" she jokes). In addition to her years of experience, she is a certified groomer from the New York School of Dog Grooming.

"I enjoy working here very much and feel very lucky to do so," she says. "My co-workers and employer are like family and we work very well together. We are serious about what we do, but manage to have some fun when we can."

At home, Sharon has two Labs named Copper and Ellie May and three cats named Blaze, Kenny, and Cooter. Beyond caring for her pets, she enjoys making jewelry, music, and just hanging out at home with friends and family.

Darlene Rubinrott, TBD Receptionist Darlene Rubinrott has been with York Animal Hospital since October of 2007. In addition to her duties at the Hospital, she is a volunteer with a local branch of Golden Retriever Rescue and has adopted two senior Golden Retrievers over the years.

When considering what makes her work so enjoyable, Darlene says, "The people here are wonderful to work with. All of us have a true love for our own pets as well as our clients' pets."

Beyond her work and caring for her menagerie of pets, Darlene enjoys caring for her three children and gardening.

Katie Murrock, TBDReceptionist and Kennel Attendant Katie Murrock has been a member of the York Animal Hospital staff since August of 2010.

veterinarians and staff to be very caring and compassionate," Katie says. "I like working here because everyone has
a genuine love for what they do and are very professional."

She is a member of the National Labrador Retriever Club and has three Labs named Jasper, Boomer, and Lily; a Pitbull
